• The most important characteristic of Indian culture is unity in diversity . Our culture is diverse as our geography too . But all Indians are united .

• More examples of such diversity are:

1. Clothing of Indian people . Different people . In different states there are different traditional dresses . In North - East , some famous traditional dress of Women are : Mekhela Sador , Dokhona . While women of North and South wear Saree .
2. Another example is seen in housing style . In North East , the roof of houses are sloppy because of heavy rainfall and snow fall . But in North they are plane .
