The transfer of heat in liquid occurs by the process of convection. As you see in the picture, in a container water is being boiled. When the water right above the fire becomes hot, it goes up \color{Red}{(red\:arrows)}. And the water from the sides moves down \color{Yellow}{(yellow\:arrows)}.

It continues to happen untill the whole water is heated.
