Some changes:
A) food no longer came from a nearby village or farm, but was imported from thousands of miles away.
B) the food was probably not grown by a farmer who owns the land, but by an agricultural worker who recently arrived there, from the colonies or as a labourer.
C) these large farms had most probably been forests which were cleared away for agricultural purposes.
D) Railway and Shipping facilities were built for transporting food, and were manned by low paid workers from the Caribbean, Asia or Africa.
