1. mechanical method :- it prevents reaching of sperm to ovum so it prevents from fertilization and pregnancy
2. chemical method :- spermicidal tablet cream or paste are introduced in vagina this kill the sperm
3 . surgical method :- this is permanent method of sterilization .eg:- castration, vasectomy
