The factors affecting the mechanism of monsoon are:-

1) The differntiated heating and cooling of land and water creates low pressure on the landmass of India while the seas around experiences comparitively high prrssure.

2) The position of Inter Tropical Convergence zone (ITCZ) in summer shift over the ganga plains. This is the equitorial through normally positioned about 5 degree North of the equator. It is also known as the monsoon through during the monsoon season.

3) The high pressure area exists east of Madgascar, approximately at 20 degree South over the Indian ocean. The intensity and position of this high pressure area effects the Indian Monsoon.

Hope this will help u

BEST OF LUCK FOR UR EXAMS.

three factors affecting the mechanism of monsoon-

  1. winds carrying moisture - the winds that blow over the oceans and seas carries moisture with them. these moisture laden winds bring rain to the place.
  2. western disturbances and tropical cyclones greatly affect the monsoon climate of the place . these are extratropical storm  which bring rain in northern parts of India during winter.
  3. distribution of air pressure is one of the major factors . the circulation of the upper air pressure greatly affects the global climatic conditions.
