From the classical equation, the vibrational frequency of any bond is directly proportional to square root of bond strength divided by reduced mass of the attached atoms. Therefore, the vibrational frequency increases with bond strength and decreases with increase in atomic masses. Triple bond > double bond> single bond. Within single bonds for example, the strength depends on the attached groups.
