Most of the continents coast line is fringed by ice shelves. antarctica is also a polar dessert, because it gets less then 3 inches of rain a year. Antarctica has many icebergs, ice caves, and ice mountains. Antarctica has snow that stretches for miles and miles. they barely have any vegetation, because of the harsh climate. Antarcica has 17,330 square miles.

Their largest ice shelf is ross ice shelf, which is about the size of france.

Antarctica is about 2% barren rock and about 98% covered in ice sheets.

antarctica also has dry valleys. Antarctica is an archipelago, which means that is a change of many islands. the highest point in Antarctica is Vinson massif, (4,897 m.) And their lowest point is Bentley Subglacial trench (-2,555 m.) antarctica's coastline is 17,968. their maximum ice thickness is 8,188 ft. their highest mountain is mount Vinson 4,892 m it's also called Vinson Massif.
