Introduction - Weaver in India faced a new set of problem in 19th century that lead to further eroding of it -

a) Indian market flooded with chief machine made goods from Manchester . It lead to decline in domestic market .

b) traders in Britain persuaded the government to impose import duties this lead to decrease in international market .

c) trade depression in America play to decrease in cotton supplied to Britain for now it turned to India for raw cotton supply as the supplies of raw cotton boomed , prices and Weaver's had to buy cotton at such a high price .

d) after that in late 19th century , Indian factories set up and weavers faced stiff competition .

Conclusion - in such on unfavourable condition how could this flourish . It suffered a major setback .
