Potwar plateau had bad land topography. Steep (sharp) slopes, ravines, gullies and gorges are formed due to soil erosion; there is series of low hills average height 300 to 600 metres. Residue hills such as Kalachitta and Khairi Murat rise to just over 1000 metres.
