Pradhan Mantri Gramodaya Yojana (PMGY)

(i) This programme was launched in 2000.

(ii) Under the programme, the Central Government provides additional assistance to the State Government for improving basic services in the village.

(iii) The major basic services covered under this

programme are primary health, primary education, rural shelter, rural drinking water and rural electrification.

1. Prime Minister's Rozgar Yojana (PMRY) - it is a progaramme designed to provide employement to the educated yet unemployed youths of India.this is plan to be achieved by setting up micro enterprises by the poor unemployed educated youth. they would be self employed in their ventures for industries, services and business.
2. Rural Housing – Indira Awaas Yojana (IAY)- under this programme, a list is created where people belonging to SC/ST, women beneficiaries and disabled persons are allocated villages and Indira Awaas Yojana sign board is displayed on the allotted houses.
