Aram was excited when he saw the white horse Because his early memories Happy memories of horses and his first longings had been longings to ride. This was the wonderful part But he was poor this was the part that wouldn't permit him to believe what he saw. Consequently even though he could see the horse so magnificent even though he could smell so lovely even though he could hear it breathing so exciting he couldn't believe the horse have anything to do with his cousin mourad. But he was still more excited to see the horse as It was his Desire.

♦On seeing the horse, Aram felt both delighted and frightened.

♦When the narrator's cousin, Mourad came to his house at four in the morning and woke him up, Aram could'nt believe what he saw. Mourad was riding a splendid white horse.

♦Aram stuck his head out of the window and rubbed his eyes to make sure that he was'nt dreaming.

♦He was delighted at the magnificence of the horse.He could smell it, hear it breathing, which excited him but what seemed to frighten him was the fact that Mourad could have stolen the horse.

♦He asked Mourad where he had stolen the horse from, Mourad did not deny that he had stolen it but asked Aram to jump out of the window for a ride.
