Asexual reproduction is a type of reproduction by which offspring arise from a single organism, and inherit the genes of that parent only; it does not involve the fusion of gametes, and almost never changes the number of chromosomes. Asexual reproduction does not involves the fusion of the male and female sex cells. Examples of asexual reproduction are budding, binary or multiple fission, regeneration, fragmentation.

Hii...

Asexual method of reproduction is the type of reproduction in which a single individual is capable of producing offspring.

As a result the offspring that are produced are not only identical to one another but are the exact copies of their parent.

This is a common method of reproduction in single celled organisms. Some of the examples of asexual reproduction are binary fission(in amoeba),multiple fission(in plasmodium),budding(in hydra)...etc..
