barter system is nothing but the exchange of goods with others but without using money. the buyers and sellers both exchange their goods
for eg let us assume there are two people one is A and other is B. Now if the person A wants rice and he has no need of wheat anymore then he has to find a person who has to sell rice and needs wheat.
