Laterite soil: the colour of this soil varies from red to reddish yellow.This reddish colour is due to presence of iron. It is found in the tropical part of India.It is main found in region lying in the rainfall of heavy region.It deficient in nitrogen and mineral.It is found in the part of Maharashtra, karnataka ,orrisa, Tamil nadu,western ghats etc.
Black soil:This soil called the black because it colour varies from dark grey to black.They are very high clay contact.It has good amount of calcium potassium and magnesium but low contact of nitrogen.It is usually found in Deccan plateau covering part of Gujarat,maharastra,andra Pradesh Tamil Nadu and madhya Pradesh.
