due to Bismillah khan's shehnai music one director named his film as "gunj uthi shehnai". the song "Dil ka khilona hai hai toot gaya" and one Tamil song "sanadhi apaana" we're composed by him. He later left the film world bcoz he thinks it is full of artificiality nd glamour

Bismillah Khan got chance inamy films. Vijay Bhatt, a film director and producer, was so taken in by him that he made a film after the instrument, Shehnai, and the name of the film was Gunj Uthi Shehnai.
