Blood Pressure

It is the pressure or the force exerted by the blood against the walls of the arteries.

As artries already contain blood , the pressure in them increases due to sudden flow of blood during ventricular systole and falls slightly as the ventricles relax.

The blood pressure is measured as teo values, for example , a normal healthy man , it is equal to 120 by 80mm of Hg. It means that the person has a Systolic pressure pf 120mm og Hg and distolic pressure of 80mm of Hg.
