The process in which a liquid changes into gas rapidly on heating is called boiling.
And the temperature at which a liquid boils and change rapidly into a gad at atmosperic pressure is called boiling point of a liquid.
For ex.
when water is heated to temperature of 100°c,it boils rapidly to form a gas called steam so the boiling point of water is 100°c
