The Banjara (also called Vanjara, Lamans,[1] Lambadi,[2] Lambhani, Lambani and Gormati) are a community usually described as nomadic people with origins in Rajasthan.[3] They spread gradually into Bengal, Karnataka and Gujarat, and are now found all over India.[4]
