To do electroplating in an iron key we have to take a container and we have to put a solution in it like copper sulphate . A pure strip of iron is connected by wire to the negative terminal of a battery . A bigger piece of copper metal is connected to the positive terminal of the battery . When the current is passed , the impure copper dissolves and gets attached to the iron key . The impurities remain in the solution . After some time all copper will get deposit to the iron key .
