Hey mate
Here is your answer

The protein fiber of silk is composed mainly of fibroin and is produced by certain insect larvae to form cocoons.

☺ Hope this will help you.

paarvi: can you give it aw long answer
Nikhil211004: Silkworms are the offspring of moths . They spew out thread from tiny holes in their jaws, which they use to spin into their egg-bearing cocoons. This entire production takes a mere 72 hours, during which time they produce between 500-1200 silken threads.
paarvi: thank
Nikhil211004: ☺Your welcome

In order to obtain silk, mulberry trees are cultivated, silkworms are reared and their cocoons are collected to get silk fibres. The various steps involved are:
1 Rearing of silkworms
2 Processing of cocoons
3 Converting silk fibres into silk clothes
