This is the most widely spread and important soil of India.
(ii)These soils also extend in Rajasthan and Gujarat through a narrow corridor.

Alluvial soil-Alluvial soil occurs throughout the Indo-Gangetic Plain and along the lower courses of virtually all the country’s major rivers (especially the deltas along the east coast).
Black soil-Black soil is found mostly across Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh on the Deccan lava plateau and Malwa plateau
