India is located in southeast Asia and is a peninsular country. it is surrounded by land on its north, west, east and the south is surrounded by the Indian Ocean... It is one of the few countries in the world to have all geographical features within. The advantages of its strategic location are:
1.) India is dotted with port cities which make it very well connected. the sea route connects India to more than half the world...
2.) Due to being surrounded by the Indian Ocean in the south India has access to extensive marine resources.
3.) Trade is also a major point. India has been able to flourish due to extensive trade possible because of the port cities.. A lot of import and export happens due to them.
4.) The Indian Ocean is named after the country India which makes us very well known in the world and is also another significant point.
5.) India has many attractive tourist places due to its diverse geographical features. this makes India a go-to spot for many tourists..

The Indian landmass has a central location between the East and the West Asia. India is a southward extension of the Asian Continent.
The trans-Indian Ocean routes which connect the countries of Europe in the west and the countries of East Asia provide a strategic central location to India. The Deccan Peninsula protrudes into the Indian Ocean, thus helping India to establish close contact with oil rich countries of West Asia as well as Africa and Europe from the western coast and the Southeast and East Asia from the eastern coast via sea and ocean routes and air routes.
