Mahatma Gandhi play a very important role in national movement.

1:-Gandhiji called for a countrywide hartal on 6th April 1919. He was arrested at Palwal.

2:-He wrote a book hind swaraj declared the Britishers were ruling over India due to cooperation of Indians.

3:-The Non Cooperation movement was launched by Gandhiji in January 1921.

4:-In this movements people boycott British cloth and goods.

5:-In 1922 Gandhiji decided to withdraw non corporation movement due to violent at Chauri Chaura.

6:-In 1930 civil disobedience movement launched by him due to great depression and failure of Simon Commission.

7:-In September 1932 Poona pact signed between Gandhiji and Ambedkar. these pact gave depressed classes reserved seats in provincial and central legislative councils.
