Explanation:

Alluvial soil is rich and fertile and found in the Indo-Gangetic plains. The Black soil holds moisture and is found in the Deccan plateau. Red Soil contains large content of iron and is found in Orissa, Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh.  

Dessert soil is found in the region of Rajasthan and Punjab. ‘Mountain Soil’ is found in the hills and slopes and is good for growing coffee and tea. ‘Laterite soil’ is found in Western and Eastern Ghats.
