describe briefly types of tissues
Answers
There are four main types of tissue: muscle, epithelial, connective and nervous. Each is made of specialized cells that are grouped together according to structure and function. ... Our outer layer of skin is epithelial tissue...... Examples of connective tissue include fat and loose connective tissue.
Group of cells having a common origin and similar in structure and function is known as tissue.
Plant tissue are primarily classified into two groups.
1. Meristematic
2. Permanent tissue.
Meristematic cells are capable of dividing continuously to produce new cells.
The cells of meristematic tissue are very active, have dense cytoplasm, thin cellulose walls and prominent nuclei.
Permanent tissues are those which have lost their power of division.
Permanent tissue may be simple and complex.
Simple is classified into 3 parts
Parenchyma, Collenchyma, Sclerenchyma.
Simple plant Tissue: Parenchyma and collenchyma cells are living and thin walled cells. Collenchyma cells have thickened corners due to deposition of cellulose and pactine.
The epidermis of leaves have small pores which are called Stomata.
