Correct question:-

Describe budding in hydra and in yeast.

Answer:-

Budding in hydra:-

Hydra is a multicellular eukaryotic organism which reproduces through budding.

The bud is formed on hydra vegetatively and this type of reproduction is called asexual reproduction.

Mechanism:-

On the lower portion of the body of hydra a small bud arises. This bud develops asexually or vegetatively from the parent body. After attaining maturity it gets separated (or) detached from the parent hydra.

The daughter hydra repeats the same process resulting in mass production of hydra .

Budding in yeast :-

Yeast is a multicellular eukaryotic organism .

Yeast also reproduces through budding.

Mechanism :-

On apical part of yeast bud arises, the nucleus also gets elongated and is followed by division of nucleus and cytoplasm. This bud detaches from parent body and repeats the same cycle.

But some buds doenot get detached and produce many buds resulting in the formation of chain of buds.
