Explanation:

Caste in politics

According to this way of thinking , people belonging to the same caste belong to a natural social community and have the same interests which they don't share from anyone from another caste .

This thinking when used in politics then it is called caste in politics .

It can be understood in following ways :-

Parties nominate the Candidate of same caste which is in majority in that particular area .

•Politic parties support a particular caste in its ideology to muster vote .

•Universal adult franchise and the principle of one person one vote compelled political leaders to gear up to the task of mobilising and securing political support .Thus , the people of the castes that were hitherto treated as inferior and low got a new sense of consciousness .

Politics in caste

According to this way of thinking ,caste is politicised ..

This can be understood in following ways;-

•Each caste group tries to become bigger by incorporating within its neighbouring caste or subcaste which were earlier excluded from it

• Various caste groups are required to enter into a coalition with other caste or community and third enter into a dialogue and negotiation

• New kinds of caste groups have come up in the political animal like backward and forward caste groups
