✔ Cell theory was proposed by Schleiden and Schwinn in 1839. It states that:-

• All living organisms are made up of cell and its products.
• Activities of an organism are the sum of total of activities and interactions of its cells. Therefore cell are structural and functional unit of organisms.
• All cells are basically alike in their constitution, chemistry and physiology.
