1) The Godavari is the largest peninsular river.

parts of Maharashtra, Madhya pradesh, Odisha(orissa) and Andhra Pradesh.
3) The Godavari is joined by number of tributaries such as the Purna, the Wardha, the Pranhita, the Manjra, the Wainganga and the Penganga.
