in 1774 Louis xvi became ruler of france ,at that time france was bankrupt as many costly wars were broke out in France. In 1788 a feminine left many people without food While king and nobles lived in desire and rumours spread that they were hoarding grains that the poor desperately needed. In 1789 a sharp rise in the price of bread caused riots on the streets of paris ,and when the king demanded a rise in taxes that same year, the people took action and the French Revolution began.
