solenoid behave like a bar magnet when electric current passes through it. like a bar magnet the electric field lines emerge from one end to another end .

The magnetic field resulting from solenoid is showing in the figure above (see in the attachment) . It is same as that due to bar magnet . Thus end of one the solenoid behave as north pole and the other end as South Pole . In the inner region of solenoid , the field lines are parallel indicating that the magnetic field is uniform at every point inside the solenoid .

The strength of the magnetic field produced by the solenoid is directly proportional to the number of turns of the solenoid and the current passes through it .
