Modern architecture was introduced by the British to New Delhi. The British also built railway bridges, tunnels, so much works of civil engineering was done and also construction of roads. The British also established the judiciary system in New Delhi.  A strong army in New Delhi was raised by the British. the army is up to now considered as such a strong one world wide.
