Describe different types of gynoeciaa on the basis of positionof ovary with respect to other floral whorls

There are three types of gynoecium, 1)superior -the ovary occupies highest position with respect to other floral whorls e.g. Brinjal, china rose, and mustard

2)half inferior - the ovary lies almost at the same level w. r..t other floral whorls e. g. Plum, rose etc

3)inferior- the ovary occupies lowest position, covered and fused by thalamus e. g. Cucumber, guava, and ray florets of sunflower
