double circulation is necessary because it prevents the mixture of pure and impure blood i,e., oxygenated and deoxygenated blood so that lots of energy is produced after respiration.

\bf\huge\underline\blue{Answer}

In double circulation, the blood passes through the heart twice during its circuit through the body. Human heart is formed of two pumps. Each pump has two chambers, one auricle and one ventricle. Each half of heart works as a separate pump. The double circulation overcomes the problem of slow blood and maintains high blood pressure.
