The rate of evaporation is affected by the following factors:
Temperature: The rate of evaporation increases with an increase in temperature.
Surface area: The rate of evaporation increases with an increase in surface area.
Humidity: The amount of water vapour present in the air is called humidity. The rate of evaporation decreases with an increase in humidity.
Wind speed: Evaporation increases with an increase in wind speed.

Hey user, here is your answer...
___________________________________
Describe the factors affecting evaporation.
They are:-
▶Surface Area:- We know that evaporation is a surface phenomenon. If the surface area is increased the rate of evaporation increases.
▶Temperature:- With the increase of the temperature more number of particles get enough kinetic energy to go into the vapour state.
▶Humidity:- If the amount of water in air is already high the rate of evaporation decreases.
▶Wind Speed:- With the increase in the wind speed, the particles of the water vapour move away with the wind, decreasing the amount of water vapour in the surrounding.
