Ozone is formed in the atmosphere when energetic ultraviolet (UV) radiation dissociates molecules of oxygen, O2 , into separate oxygen atoms. Free oxygen atoms can recombine to form oxygen molecules but if a free oxygen atom collides with an oxygen molecule, it joins up, forming ozone.....

It is produced by the process of photolysis it is a natural process in staratosphere when highly energtic solar radition strikes molecules of oxygen and cause two oxygen atoms to split aprat in the process of photolysis if a freed atom collied with other 02atom forms 03
