Fragmentation

Explanation:

  • Fragmentation is a form of asexual reproduction. The organism undergoing fragmentation breaks into individual pieces at maturity and the resulting individual pieces grow into new organism.
  • Some multicellular organisms with simple body organisation can reproduce by this fragmentation.
  • When spirogyra reproduces, it breaks into filament, these filament later grow into mature filament.
