Hi
In physics , we were said , nature are so lazy as possible .
so we light pass on the glass slab then the velocity of the light decrease ,that while the light take a short path to pass on it.
so light is tilted toward normal of the slab.
in generally like we can understand like that,
when u pass through the uncrowded region then u can move easily and take any path also ur speed is high.
but when u pass through a crowded region ,u feel obstracle and try to take shortest pass to pass out from it. also ur speed is decrease .
so we know refractive index of glass is higher than vaccum.
in generally crowdness is more in glass.
hope u got it.
