1) It was the golden age of sanskrit literature. Kalidasa's plays and poems are masterpieces of sanskrit literature. The Panchatantra also belongs to the Gupta period.
2) Aryabhatta and Varahamihira were great astronomers and mathematicians respectively.
3) A large number of temples were built in those time. The image of the seated buddha at Sarnath has a touch of excellence.
