The visit to Boston in May, 1888 with her mother and teacher was an important milestone in Helen's life. The purpose of the visit was to go to the Perkins Institution in Boston, the scene of Dr. Howe's great labours for the blind in order to find a teacher competent enough to assist Helen in her education. Mr. Anagnos, the director of the institute had replied positively to Dr. Bell's query for such a teacher. This necessitated the visit to Boston in the summer of 1886.This visit was quite different from the visit to Baltimore two years ago because Helen was no longer a restless, excitable little creature requiring the attention of everybody on the train to keep her amused. She sat quietly beside Miss Sullivan taking in with eager interest all that her teacher told Helen about what she saw out of the car window. I hope it helps u .

Answer :

Another important event in helen's life was her journey to Boston. This journey was different from the journey to Baltimore. She was accompanied by her teacher, her mother and her doll Nancy. She remember the journey she had made to Baltimore two years before.

That time required everybody is attention to keep her amused. She was restless and excited. But now she was content to sit quietly beside miss Sullivan who told her about all the sights that she saw out of the car window.

This time she had a good companion with her.
On the side opposite Helen Sat Nancy, her big rag doll. She was content in playing with her. She made her self believe that she was asleep
Helen was now a mature girl. In two years, she had learnt a lot about the world around her. She was no more restless and excited.
