in the village of poyyoli,kozhikode district,kerala.
her full name is pilavullakandi thekkeparambil usha.
usha was an extremely bright student.
she achieved so may awards.
she came first in all the 4 events 100m 200m long jump and hight jump.
at 1982 in new delhi asian games and she got 4th place in the 400m at the 1984 jakarta asian meet.
she won 4 gold and 1 silver medal at 1986 in asian games in seoul
