2. Make the solution more clearly by adding 2 – 3 drops of concentrated sulphuric acid in it and heat up 70° C then add more impure copper sulphate until no more of it dissolves."

➢ Take some impure copper sulphate in a china dish and dissolve in minimum amount of water.
➢ Filter the solution to remove impurities.
➢ Heat the copper sulphate solution on water bath.
➢ When small crystals form on glass rods, stop heating.
➢ Allow the saturated solution to cool slowly.
➢ Crystals of pure copper sulphate are formed.
➢ Separate the copper sulphate crystals by filtration and dry.
