The Himalayan mountain in the north covers an area of 5 lakh square kilometre from the west to the east in the form of a bigarc.This arcis about 2500kilometres long and has a varying width from 250 to 400 kilometres .

pamir plateaus range . It originates from pamir plateau and Extends to Arunachal Pradesh .

Tethys oceans ,where we see the Himalaya today . With the passage of time , there was a huge deposit of silt brought by the rivers that fell in to it .With the sifting and sliding due to Earth's plates ,the bottom of the sea raised up , which gradually took the form of Himalaya.
