When you take air through nostrils the air get reached in lungs .Inside lungs there is a large number of alveoil(exchange of gases takes place) are present which are rich in haemoglobin have tendency to attract oxygen.

When breathing in, air fills the alveoli in your lungs. Through diffusion, the oxygen moves past the alveolus membrane (one cell thick) into the blood via the capillaries in the lining of their walls (alveoli). After entry into the bloodstream, the hemoglobin in the red blood cells picks up the O2. This 'new' blood then flows back to the heart, as it is now highly oxygenated (O2 rich).The heart then pumps it to the rest of the body cells to perform aerobic respiration.
