During his childhood his parents left him near his grandmother. In morning his granny used to wake him up and would ready him up for school she used give him the breakfast of thick stale Roti and used to pack his bag. After that her granny and kushwant Singh were going to school together she left him to school and went to temple which was connected to his school after his school they went together this time the relationship between his grandma and kushwant singh grew stronger.
when kushwant Singh's parents settled at town they called upon kushwant Singh and his granny to live here. As kushwant Singh was enrolled to school he used to come back home and used to tell his granny about what they thought in school she used to become sad for two things. First that she couldn't help him in his studies. secondly that there were no teachings on inscription and God because of it the conversation between both became very messy. when he went to university he was given a separate room that the conversation between both stopped. This time the bond of friendship between granny and kushwant singh became very weak.
