Answer:

Often the caste issue was dealt by Indian novelists.

The novel Indulekha by O Chandu Menon was a love story, but interwoven with the raging controversy of marriage practices of upper caste Hindu Nambuthiri Brahmins and Nayars.

The second novel is the novel Saraswativijayam by Potheri Kunjambu where he strongly attacked the upper caste oppression and caste prejudices.

Premchand’s novel, Rangabhoomi, also deals with caste problem in its main plot.
