Princes and rulers erect monuments and statues in order to perpetuate their memory, since they want to be remembered by the future generations. It reflects their desire to be immortalized. However, the all powerful time destroys the monuments, since they remain unclean and unswept and tarnishes them to insignificance. Whatever remains is destroyed by wasteful wars and broils and tumults.
