hey sheryle !!

there is two way to estimate poverty line but in india only one theory which was given by m. s. swaminath is considered .

In this report if a person is not able to earn 130 rupees in rural area and 150 rupees in urban area per day will consider below poverty line.

here is all way t to which r generally used to estimate poverty

\red{ Income\: Method:} A person is considered poor if his or her income falls below a given minimum level necessary to fulfil basic needs.

\red{Consumption\: Method :. }
A minimum nutrititioal food requirement for survival is estimated and energy obtained is measured in calories. The accepted average of calory requirement in India.

\red{Expenditure\: Method:}
While determining the poverty line in India a minimum level of food requirement, clothing , footwear, fuel, and light , educational and medical requirement etc. Are determined for subsistence.
