Step-by-step explanation:

Alike : Their dimensions are equal.

Different : The figure on the left is cylindrical and that on the right is cuboidal.

Surface area of cylinder = 2πrh

=> 2 * 22/7 * 7/2 * h

=> 154 cm²

And,

Surface Area of cube = 4s²

=> 4 * 7 * 7

=> 196 cm²

The cube has a larger surface area than the cylinder.

Hope it helps!

Answer:

your answer is here Nancy......

similarities....

1) both the shape has same diameter (7cm).

2) altitudes are in 90°.

Difference....

1) both are different shapes.

2) cylinder has circular phase.

3) cylinder are made by cuttings. of circle & cube are made by cutting of squares.

LSA of cylinder....

= 2πrh

= 2×22/7× 7/2 × 7

= 154cm

LSA of cube.......

= 2(bh+hl)

= 2(49+49)

= 2(98)

= 196cm.

therefore, LSA of cube is greater than cylinder.
