•SEXUAL REPRODUCTION

Most animals reproduce sexually. In sexual reproduction, the male and female produce special types of reproductive cells. Males produce make gametes or sperm cells and the female produce female gametes or the egg cells (ova).

When The sperm fuses with the ovum, fertilization occurs. After fertilization of an ovum by a sperm, a cell called the zygote is formed. The zygote grows by cell division and produces embryo. The Embryo finally grows to become a new Individual.

•HUMAN REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM

Female: The eggs are produced in the ovaries. The ovaries are the two whitish oval shaped bodies, lying within the lower half of the abdomen, one on either side of the uterus. This function of the ovary is to produce eggs. Only one egg is produce by an ovary alternatively every month. There's a Long, muscular tube called Vagina which recieves male penis during copulation. It's also known as the birth canal.

Male: Sperms are produced in the testes. The testes consists of a mass of sperm producing tubes. These tubes join to form ducts leading to epididymis, found on the upper side of the testes. This in turn leads into muscular sperm duct.
